RRB Pharmacist (Entry Grade) 2026: syllabus, pattern and eligibility — read from the notice

D.Pharm holders: read this first.
CEN 05/2026 accepts only a B.Pharm (Allopathic) or a Pharm.D, with registration as a Pharmacist under the Pharmacy Act, 1948 (Annexure-A). The previous notice, CEN 04/2024, also accepted 10+2 Science with a Diploma in Pharmacy — that route is not in the 2026 notice. Many coaching pages still show the old qualification.

For comparison, CEN 04/2024 had 246 posts and an age band of 20–38 as on 01.01.2025 — that upper limit included a one-time 3-year Covid-19 relaxation, which the 2026 notice does not carry.

The notice states that the section-wise distribution "is only indicative. The question paper may vary." (13.0(g)).

The 30 non-professional questions (general awareness, arithmetic/reasoning, general science) are not pharmacy content and are not banked in this wing; the reasoning & quantitative head of the Medical Devices wing is the same question style.
What −⅓ means for how you attempt
Four options and a one-third deduction make blind guessing exactly break-even: ¼ × (+1) + ¾ × (−⅓) = 0. Eliminate one option and the same sum turns positive (+0.11 per question); so the rule is never leave a question blank once you have ruled out even one option.
